Dental visit

Covid-19 Update 19/04/2021

As of 19 April, 2021, following recommendations by the Australian govt, the ADA and AHPPC, we continue to offer all treatment to most patients.

If you require dental treatment, we encourage you to book in immediately, in case restrictions return.

Marketplace Dental continues to offer all treatments for most patients, operating under the ADA’s Level 1 dental service  restrictions, providing they show no signs of illness. Previously, certain limitations applied, restricting some procedures.

Please note that for your (and our) health and safety, patient screening processes and strict infection control protocols are still in place in our clinic.

Based on overseas data, we may potentially see future spikes of Covid-19 infections, and therefore we may be moving in and out of level 2/3 restrictions in the future. To avoid delays in necessary dental work, we recommend you have dental treatments done now.

You’re in safe hands

Rest assured, if you have an essential or emergency dental appointment, you will be in safe hands. Our staff will do everything they can to protect your health. Dental clinics are always impeccably sanitised as we adhere to stringent guidelines set by the ADA.

NB: For all patients requiring ‘happy gas’, all nose pieces are single use only, so there’s no risk of picking up germs.

We have also taken extra precautions:

  • Regularly sanitisating all surfaces and door handles
  • Removing all magazines
  • Extending time between patients for extra cleaning measures
  • Providing alcohol hand sanitiser on arrival to the clinic

You will also notice that your dentist or dental assistant will be wearing a face mask and gloves if your treatment involves close contact. This is to minimise the risk of asymptomatic viral spreading.

Please call the clinic and our dental team will schedule you in as soon as required.
